Many of Hampshire’s attractions will be getting seasonal makeovers to look terror-iffic for Halloween. See the decorations and spooky shows, and brave the rides in the dark with late-night openings at the Halloween Spooktacular at Paultons Park (9 October to 2 November 2026).
Marwell Zoo will be getting some boo-tiful outdoor backdrops with Wild Autumn (24 October to 1 November 2026) where there will be pumpkin carving, a haybale maze and plenty of wildlife adventures, and over at The Watercress Line, the Halloween Witches of Watercress Woods (29 to 31 October 2026) will bring fiendish fairytale fun for young passengers on the spooky steam trains.
Half term week will be filled with Halloween activities for children at Sky Park Farm, including wildlife encounters, Spooktacular Science Potions Workshop (26 October 2026), and Haunted Halloween Miniature Crafts (30 October 2026).
Uncover enchanting folklore and listen to spooky stories in Palace House during October Half Term at Beaulieu (24 October to 1 November 2026) where there will also be a Forest Folklore Trail.
At Exbury Gardens the ghoulish Ghost Train returns with a circus twist (25 October to 31 October 2026) and Owl-O-Ween at Hawk Conservancy Trust (29 and 30 October 2026) will see the owls flying by the Halloween moon.

A new Spirit Of The Woods Halloween Trail will bring creepiness to Itchen Valley Country Park (24 October to 1 November 2026) and there will also be Halloween crafts during half term, and at Sir Harold Hillier Gardens there's a Halloween Friendly Frights Family Trail (3 October to 1 November 2026) along with Pumpkin Carving (29 and 30 October 2026) and Spooky Halloween Treats (24 to 31 October 2026).
Free Halloween Fun at Fort Nelson (24 October to 1 November) includes a Creepy Codebreaker museum trail, plus lots of have-a-go Halloween activities every day, and at Halloween at Hurst Castle (17 October to 1 November 2026) there will be a maze and Royal Trail along with creepy crafts.
Follow the National Trust trail with Who's in Your Book?, an interactive trail through the magical world of Tom Fletcher's story, and the Stranger Folk Digital Adventure, both taking place at The Vyne (3 October to 8 November 2026). Pumpkin displays at Hinton Ampner decorate the gardens with golden hues of orange, and there’s Halloween family fun with spooky games and challenges to enjoy (17 October to 1 November 2026). At Mottisfont, the We're Going on a Ghost Hunt™ Halloween Adventure (3 October to 1 November 2026) is a heartwarming trail for young children based on the bestselling children's books.
The Great Halloween Mystery at Moors Valley Country Park (1 October to 1 November 2026) will delight little ones during the day, and by night the woodland takes on a terrifying twist with the return of the spectacular Halloween at Moors Valley illuminated trail (23 October to 1 November 2026).
There’s also a Folklore and Fable Autumn Trail at Gilbert White's House and Gardens (17 October to 1 November 2026) and in Winchester City Centre, Winchester BID’s free Spooky Winch Letter Hunt (17 October to 1 November 2026) will be hiding Halloween words in the windows of local businesses.
Hallo'Welly'Ween at Wellington Country Park (23 to 31 October 2026) includes a whole ghost of activities including a mini pumpkin patch, creepy crafts, a family circus, and Halloween train rides.
Outdoor Halloween adventures in Hampshire
Halloween outdoor adventures with New Forest Activities (selected dates from 24 October to 1 November 2026) are sure to wear out little and big kids alike. Choose from Spooky Halloween River Tours, Halloween Archery Pumpkin Shooting, BattleZone: Apocalypse Laser Tag and a Canoe Halloween Treasure Hunt.
